Our patented multi-chamber safety system allows you to inflate the entire air frame (IDG) in a single step. After inflation, the air frame can be divided into individual chambers using the connecting hoses. This allows sufficient emergency stability in case one part is damaged, as all other struts remain stable. In addition, it is very easy to locate the defective part in order to repair or replace it.

Your Heimplanet tent initially consists of three parts: Inner tent, Flysheet and air frame. Before the first use, the so-called First Assembly is carried out. This involves hooking the Flysheet into the air frame and then attaching the inner tent to the flysheet. Don't worry, the included instructions will help you with this! To simplify this process, we use color coding that tells you which connections go where. After the first assembly the whole tent forms one unit and there are no disturbing single parts. From then on it's simply roll out, inflate and ready!

We have significantly improved the fabric quality of our tents. From now on, we use 40D High Tenacity Polyester with Double Ripstop throughout all our tents. This fabric has a higher tensile strength than regular polyester yarns. Accordingly, our new tent fabric has a higher tear strength. In addition, it is lighter, falls better, rustles less and is softer to the touch.

The tent owes its outstanding strength to its geodesic dome construction and the ten crossing points of the air frame. The more crossing points, the more stable the tent!

The air struts feature a durable two-layer construction: an extra airtight TPU bladder keeps the air inside and the outer jacket made of high-strength polyester fabric provides support and stability. Before an air frame leaves production, every single bladder and every single Strut is inflated and checked for pressure loss.

Due to the star-shaped roof, the center of the tent forms an additional point of support. The result is a point symmetrical slope with five drains for rain.

Cave Classic

Aesthetically this is the most beautiful tent I own. It's very well built and sturdy for sure. I love it to bits. I love having a variety of shelters to use and this one stands out of the crowd and its free standing which is great. It is however the most impractical tent I own. It's too heavy. The use of space on the inside, while big, is an odd shape and awkward for two people never mind a third person. It needs to be a 2p rectangle inner tent with 2X doors L/R sides. That way we have big vestibules for gear muddy boots etc. With a second door we don't have to climb over someone else to get out. The outside geometry hinders the inside tent.
This should never be your first tent.

I love it though!

Worth every penny - the best tent I've used

I've had this tent since about 2015 and it's still as strong and reliable today as it was back then. The frame is extremely durable/feels very reinforced but remains easy to inflate as the tent almost erects itself (ha). This tent has been beaten up across all types of terrain and weather - cant speak highly enough about the design and durability. Well done Heimplanet.
