My Heimplanet Cave is older than the warranty period and has also been used intensively on campsites. I am very satisfied with the tent. The only point for improvement: the ventilation for warm sunny days could let more air through. During the last camping trip, one of the upper struts deflated after pitching. I was able to continue camping by closing the remaining valves, but repairing it by pulling the hose out and back in again seemed too fiddly. So I sent the tent in for repair via Globetrotter. It came back repaired as a gesture of goodwill with a new Strut . Very good service!
When through hell for 2 hours 2500 mtrs up in Switzerland as a storm, rain, wind and hailstones past over, our Cave did its job extremely well.
Aesthetically this is the most beautiful tent I own. It's very well built and sturdy for sure. I love it to bits. I love having a variety of shelters to use and this one stands out of the crowd and its free standing which is great. It is however the most impractical tent I own. It's too heavy. The use of space on the inside, while big, is an odd shape and awkward for two people never mind a third person. It needs to be a 2p rectangle inner tent with 2X doors L/R sides. That way we have big vestibules for gear muddy boots etc. With a second door we don't have to climb over someone else to get out. The outside geometry hinders the inside tent.
This should never be your first tent.
I love it though!
I've had this tent since about 2015 and it's still as strong and reliable today as it was back then. The frame is extremely durable/feels very reinforced but remains easy to inflate as the tent almost erects itself (ha). This tent has been beaten up across all types of terrain and weather - cant speak highly enough about the design and durability. Well done Heimplanet.
