Basecamp - Where are you living right now?

I currently live in the beautiful city of Ghent in Belgium.

Dream destination?

Tanzania, Norway, Mongolia and Alaska.

Inspiration?

I look up to great creators and adventurers. I'm a big fan of Finn Beales and Chris Burkard. Other than that, I get inspired by music. No matter what I do, there's always music playing in the background.

What does travel mean to you?

For me, travel is a way to reconnect with myself. The hustle and bustle and responsibility of everyday life can sometimes be tiring and I need to get away from it from time to time. It is a way to feel again the "real" world and the beautiful planet we live on.

The best experience when travelling?

For me, there's no better feeling than hiking in the mountains and camping in a place you've never been before. The feeling of exploring unfamiliar terrain really drives me. It's an ecstatic feeling when you get closer to the mountain that you've only seen on Google Maps before.

Plans for the future?

I have some big plans for the near future. I'm working on a project that will integrate nature even more into my everyday life. I can't reveal too much yet, but it has to do with camping.
