Dream destination?

The world is huge and there are so many places I still want to discover! But ever since I started climbing as a teenager, I've dreamed of travelling to Patagonia to see the Fitzroy Group with its massive peaks! I would also love to go splitboarding in Alaska.

Inspiration?

All forms of nature inspire not only me, but also my work! It influences the way I see the world. Snow-capped mountains, granite peaks, ocean waves, the midnight sky - I like to capture it all, and the wilder the conditions, the better! My favourite time to shoot is on a cloudy day or a stormy winter day, when you can really feel the power of nature. In these moments, I am overcome with the humble feeling of how small man really is.

What does "travelling" mean to you?

"Travelling is the only thing that makes you richer!" Ultimately, it's the experiences and the people you meet along the way that make your life richer, not a fancy car in front of your house. For this reason, travelling means everything to me and I take every opportunity to do so.

The best experience when travelling?

Although I feel I have travelled far, my best travel experience was my year in Australia. Australia, with its many ecosystems and varied landscapes, opened my eyes to the beauty a country can possess. I was very lucky to meet a man there who shared his own experiences with me and, above all, his travel pictures. The pictures impressed me so much that I invested in my first digital SLR camera and my true passion for photography was awakened.

Plans for the future?

For a long time I have dreamed of capturing the beauty of Iceland. This year I will spend a 2-month adventure there, I am already counting the days!
