Designed for circularity
A material. Endless cycles - The Mono Series Minimal Pack in Iceland.
A tribute
Iceland - the land of volcanoes, glaciers, endless waterfalls and powerful ocean currents. This dramatic yet delicate natural backdrop was not only the perfect setting for our shoot with the Mono Series Minimal Pack, but also a place that constantly reminds us that we are only guests and spectators on this planet.
The fully recyclable backpack, carries the philosophy of a closed loop, where every material is returned and reused at the end. Inspired by nature, the Mono Series Minimal Pack demonstrates what sustainable design can look like - and why it's so important.
The mono concept
The Mono Series Minimal Pack is more than just a well thought-out everyday backpack - it represents a sustainable design principle, the "mono concept". This concept is based on a mono-material strategy, meaning that the entire backpack is made from a single material. In this case, our specially developed Dyecoshell™ Mono.
While our previous Dyecoshell™ has improved the way we make new products, Dyecoshell™ Mono marks the next evolution of our product design with a clear focus on the life of the product after use. Instead of becoming waste, the backpack becomes a valuable resource.
The Mono Series Minimal Pack thus symbolizes a closed material cycle and is therefore particularly in harmony with nature.
No more waste. One material - endless cycles.

Dyecoshell™
The name Dyecoshell™ is made up of the terms dyeingand ecological. This fabric was used for the first time in our Transit Line. The material is characterized by a very special dyeing process called spinneret dyeing. Dyeing is by far the most resource-intensive process in fabric production. Dyeing normally accounts for around 89% of water consumption, 60% of energy, 65% of CO₂ emissions and 63% of chemicals in fabric production.
Spinneret dyeing, on the other hand, uses neither water nor chemicals. Instead, a colorless granulate is mixed with a colored granulate before extrusion so that the filament is extruded directly in the previously defined color. During weaving, the already dyed yarns are then woven into a fabric - completely without dyeing.
The result is a more environmentally friendly fabric that is extremely durable due to its strength and abrasion resistance.

Design as philosophy
For us, the Mono Series Minimal Pack is much more than just a backpack - it is an important step towards sustainable bag development. It shows that it is possible to design products that are not harmful to the environment after use, but can be returned to the natural cycle of nature.
The Minimal Pack reminds us that design and function can go hand in hand with a sustainable philosophy - and that every step we take towards a circular economy ultimately leads to a future in which we live in harmony with nature.
Colors - Inspired by nature
Diamond Black
The shiny black stands for the volcanic sand of Iceland, which has formed from solidified lava and sparkles in the sunlight. This sand is continuously returned to nature by wind and water - a symbol of the constant change and recycling in nature, just as the Minimal Pack is reused in the sense of the circular economy.
The mono material of the black backpack is made from 100% recycled material. The backpack is fully recyclable. A completely closed cycle.
Ocean Blue
The deep blue of this variant represents the water that flows around Iceland and is constantly renewed. The water in lakes, waterfalls and the sea symbolizes the cycle of life and the role that water plays in nature's circulatory system.
The slightly shiny fabric is reminiscent of the reflections of the sun on the surface of the water.
The mono material of the blue backpack consists of 50% recycled material. The remaining 50% consists of new fibers due to the more complex coloring. The backpack is fully recyclable.
Midnight Burgundy
This vibrant color is reminiscent of the deep red and dark shades of lava rock, which once formed the earth as a liquid and then cooled over time and turned back into solid ground. These lava fields are a symbol of originality and change - just as the rucksack is designed to return to the material cycle after use.
The mono material of the dark red backpack consists of 50% recycled material. The remaining 50% consists of new fibers due to the more complex coloring. The backpack is fully recyclable.
